Designed for those who need a more adaptable approach, these classes allow you to explore the art of pottery with the convenience of scheduling lessons that fit your lifestyle, Each week we will pick a time that works for you, sometimes with people, sometimes not, depending on the time, you can start any week you want This 6-week class is designed for beginners eager to dive into the world of pottery. Whether you’ve never touched clay or dabbled a little, this course will guide you through the foundational skills needed to create beautiful and functional pottery pieces on the wheel. What You’ll Learn: Introduction to the wheel, tools, and basic throwing techniques. Learn to center clay and shape your first cylinder. You'll also learn trimming, attaching handles, and glazing What’s Included: Expert instruction tailored to your individual needs. All Tools and Equipment What’s not included: Clay - For 5kg of Clay, it is $20 To Pay at the first class Firing - The total amount varies, but firing is $2 a piece and is to be paid at the end What You’ll Take Home: After each class, you will take your pieces and clay home. You will be instructed on caring for your pieces and when to bring them back for firing. What to Bring: Board: A sturdy board (wooden is best) for placing your pieces on after making them. Old Towel: To place on your lap and keep yourself clean. Apron: To protect your clothes. Box: Large enough to fit your board and pieces. Large Ziplock Bags: For storing your clay and tools. Health and Safety: Pottery involves handling materials that may contain chemicals. If you are pregnant or have any health concerns, please inform the instructor in advance so appropriate guidance can be provided.
